Here is a list of upcoming courses and workshops. I provide courses and workshops on the subjects of Occult Herbalism, Divination (primarily Tarot and Geomancy) and Witchcraft. Many of the courses below are hosted through a third party – such as The College of Psychic Studies, or London’s Atlantis Bookshop. When booking, you must book through the host. Details of how to book are on the event page.

If you do not see a course here that you want, please feel free to contact me. I’m available for one-to-one tuition and mentorship. I can usually be persuaded to provide talks and workshops at events in the UK too. You can contact me through my contact page, or email mw.witchraft@gmail.com

About Paul

Paul Wood is a sticks and stones type of witch. A lifelong student of the Craft and theMysteries, he has been teaching ‘Western Esoteric Herbalism’ for over 15 years. During this time he has extensively researched the historical use of plants and herbs in magic, and owned a company dedicated to recreating and selling historic and ancient occult recipes.

He is first and foremost a Witch, though has collected a number of labels over the years; A Wiccan High Priest, an initiate of ceremonial traditions, and a traditional witch amongst them. In the mundane worlds, Paul has a background in integrative  psychotherapy, psychology and clinical hypnosis.

I really enjoyed it. Paul Wood is an excellent Teacher. He is very knowledgeable and the lessons were clear and entertaining. Really
helpful learning experiences to do in between classes. The fact that it was recorded means that we can go back over a lesson if we needed to. I really recommend Paul and this course and am looking forward to the Intermediate session when it becomes available

I had such a great time in class. Paul made everyone feel included and encouraged everyone to participate in class exercises. I
feel confident moving forward to be able to practice Geomantic readings for myself and friends. I am excited to practice more over
time and I look forward to an intermediate course in the future.

Thank you Paul.

I loved this course! Paul is such an expert, fabulous, patient teacher - looking back I can't believe how much progress we made as beginners. Coming from a tarot
background this was just what I needed to expand and enhance my divinatory skills - and it was a bonus to study alongside such a
lovely bunch of people. Many thanks to all involved for delivering something so unusual and special.

More Information

Occult Herbalism Workshops

Occult herbalism is the study of the mystical, supernatural, or magical powers & practices of using herbs. This includes folklore and folk practices, as well as how herbs and plants are treated and categorised in occult practices (including grimoires, magical books and rituals).

Previous courses have included Planetary Herbalism, Herbalism and the Four Elements, Spagyrics and Herbal Alchemy…

Divination Workshops and Courses

I formally teach two areas of divination; Geomancy and Tarot.

With Geomancy I teach regular courses at the College of Psychic Studies. Currently, there is only an introductory course running at the College, though the plan will be to introduce an intermediate and an advanced class. I teach Western/European Geomancy, but with a nod to other Traditions and Lineages. I am the courses to be a mixture of practical and spiritual, whilst helping a student get a good grasp on the ‘theory’ behind it all. I draw from my knowledge of Western Mystery Traditions, and Occult Theory. To me a good Geomancer is one who doesn’t just interpret a chart, but lives and breathes the symbolism of Geomancy. I encourage students to grapple with Geomancy not just as a divinatory system, but one that can aid psychic and spiritual growth, personal insight, psychological insight yet also holds the possibility for magical and manifestation work.

With Tarot, I specialise in the Marseille tarot in a style that blends cartomancy traditions, occult numerological theory, historical French occult tarot and influences learnt from modern teachers I’ve had the pleasure to study under. I encourage people to find the fun in Tarot, helping them get a grasp on the basics whilst encouraging them to read intuitively yet grounded in theory. I have formally learnt Pamela Coleman Smith’s ‘Rider-Waite’ tarot, and have a background in the western occult traditions from which it drew it’s inspiration/symbolism. I’ve also worked with a number of other tarot and card based systems, and I encourage my students to find the same sense of fluency I’ve found with card reading.

Whilst I currently do not formally teach other forms of divination, I am competent at Scrying and have taught the technique for nearly a decade.
